Dana Frederick White Jr. is an American businessman best known as the president and chief executive officer of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, a global mixed martial arts organization. Originally a manager for UFC fighters, White informed his friends Frank and Lorenzo Fertitta about the opportunity to purchase the UFC, which they acquired for two million dollars in 2001. Following the purchase, White was appointed as the company's president. In 2004, he co-created The Ultimate Fighter, a reality television series aimed at popularizing the sport and the brand. This initiative contributed to the growth of the UFC, which continued under White's leadership until it was sold in 2016 for four billion dollars to a consortium led by WME-IMG. Despite the sale, White remained a central figure in the organization, and in 2023, he was named CEO after a reorganization into TKO Group Holdings. Outside of the UFC, White founded Power Slap in 2022, a slap fighting promotion. In 2025, he was elected to the board of directors of Meta Platforms and also co-founded Zuffa Boxing, a professional boxing organization where he serves as a promoter. His career has been marked by innovative efforts to expand combat sports and his involvement in various ventures beyond UFC.
