Brandy Lynn Clark, born on October 9, 1975, is an American country music singer-songwriter. Her songwriting has been recorded by a variety of artists including Sheryl Crow, Miranda Lambert, The Band Perry, Reba McEntire, LeAnn Rimes, Billy Currington, Darius Rucker, and Kacey Musgraves. She made her debut as a recording artist in 2013 with the release of her album 12 Stories and has since released four additional studio albums. Clark has been recognized with sixteen Grammy Award nominations, including one for Best New Artist in 2015, highlighting her significant impact in the music industry. She won the Country Music Association Award for Song of the Year as a co-writer on the song Follow Your Arrow. In 2023, she and her frequent collaborator Shane McAnally wrote the music and lyrics for the musical Shucked, which earned a Tony Award nomination for Best Original Score.
