Bob Inglis: podcast appearances and interviews

Bob Inglis is a former United States Congressman who represented South Carolina's 4th congressional district. He served in Congress from 1993 to 1999 and again from 2005 to 2011. As a member of the Republican Party, Inglis was known as a moderate and a critic of the Tea Party movement. He was first elected to Congress in 1992 and served three terms before running unsuccessfully for the U.S. Senate in 1998, losing to Democrat Fritz Hollings. After returning to Congress in 2004, he served until 2011 when he lost renomination to Trey Gowdy with 29.3% of the vote. Following his congressional career, Inglis became involved in initiatives promoting conservative and free-market solutions to energy and climate issues. In 2012, he launched the Energy and Enterprise Initiative, based at George Mason University, which aims to engage the public on market-based approaches to energy and climate challenges. Inglis recognizes the scientific consensus on climate change and advocates for market-based solutions such as a revenue-neutral carbon tax funded by reductions in income and payroll taxes. He is also the executive director of republicEN, an organization of conservatives dedicated to promoting free-market fixes to climate change.
