Bill Istvan Günther Skarsgård is a Swedish actor, model, producer, and director born on August 9, 1990. He is best known for his portrayal of Pennywise in the horror films It (2017) and It Chapter Two (2019), as well as the television series It Welcome to Derry which began in 2025. Additionally, he played Count Orlok in the film Nosferatu (2024). Skarsgård's performances as monsters and non-human characters have earned him recognition as a creature actor. Throughout his career, he has received multiple awards and nominations, including a Satellite Award and a Berlinale Award. His films have collectively grossed over 3.3 billion dollars worldwide. Skarsgård’s career commenced as a child actor with a role in White Water Fury (2000), where he starred alongside his brother Alexander. After attending Södra Latin, he secured his first significant role in Simple Simon in 2010. He gained international fame through his leading role in Hemlock Grove from 2013 to 2015. His first prominent American role was in The Divergent Series: Allegiant (2016).
