Beth Rodden, born on April 5, 1980, is an American rock climber recognized for her achievements in traditional climbing. She is notable for her ascents of difficult single-pitch routes and was the youngest woman to climb a 5.14a (8b+) graded route. Additionally, she is one of the few women in the world to have successfully redpointed a 5.14c (8c+) traditional climb. During her career, she partnered with climber Tommy Caldwell from 2000 to 2010, with whom she completed the second free ascent of The Nose. In 2008, Rodden made the first ascent of Meltdown, which is considered one of the hardest traditional climbs globally. Her accomplishments include being the first woman to match the highest grades in traditional climbing, reflecting her significant influence in the sport.
