Barbara O'Neill is an Australian alternative health care promoter associated with the Australian Financial Counselors and Planners Educators. She has gained notoriety for advertising health practices that are widely considered unsupported and potentially harmful. O'Neill does not possess recognized qualifications in health-related fields and did not complete nursing training. She has presented her claims at alternative medicine organizations, wellness retreats, and Seventh-day Adventist Churches. In 2019, the New South Wales Health Care Complaints Commission prohibited her from providing any health-related services following multiple complaints. An investigation concluded that she provided dangerous advice to vulnerable patients, including suggesting that cancer patients forgo prescribed chemotherapy in favor of bicarbonate of soda and recommending that infants consume unpasteurized goat’s milk. The investigation also found that she failed to meet the standards expected of unregistered health professionals and lacked qualifications in the relevant fields. Despite being barred from offering health-related services in Australia, O'Neill has continued to promote her medical conspiracies and alternative treatments at international events, often streaming these sessions back to Australia. In 2025, she received the Bent Spoon award from Australian Skeptics for the most preposterous piece of pseudoscientific or paranormal pseudoscience.
