Austan Goolsbee: podcast appearances and interviews

Austan Dean Goolsbee is an American economist born on August 18, 1969. He has held several prominent roles in economic policy and academia. Goolsbee served as the chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers from 2010 to 2011, contributing to economic policy discussions during his time in President Barack Obama's cabinet. Prior to that, he was a member of the Council of Economic Advisers and held the position of chief economist and chief-of-staff to Paul Volcker at the President's Economic Recovery Advisory Board during the 2008 financial crisis. In addition to his government service, Goolsbee is the president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago and is the Robert P. Gwinn Professor of Economics at the University of Chicago's Booth School of Business. His career also includes a period of service on the Chicago Board of Education from 2018 to 2019. Throughout his career, Goolsbee has been involved in economic policy, analysis, and education, applying his expertise to both governmental and academic institutions.
