Anton Yelchin: podcast appearances and interviews

Anton Viktorovich Yelchin was an American actor born in the Soviet Union to a Russian Jewish family. He emigrated to the United States with his parents at six months of age. Yelchin began his acting career as a child, appearing as the lead in the mystery drama film Hearts in Atlantis and as a series regular on the Showtime comedy-drama Huff. He gained higher-profile film roles in 2009, notably portraying Pavel Chekov in the Star Trek reboot and Kyle Reese in Terminator Salvation. Yelchin reprised his Chekov role in the sequels Star Trek Into Darkness and Star Trek Beyond. In addition to his work in major films, he frequently participated in independent and lower-profile projects. His notable performances include leading roles in Likes Crazy, the 2011 remake of Fright Night, Odd Thomas, 5 to 7, Burying the Ex, The Driftless Area, and Green Room. He also provided voice acting for Clumsy Smurf in the live-action Smurfs films and voiced James Jim Lake Jr. in the Netflix animated series Trollhunters: Tales of Arcadia from 2016 to 2018. Yelchin maintained an active career until his accidental death in 2016. His life was tragically cut short when he was fatally injured by his own SUV.
