Anthony Oliveira: podcast appearances and interviews

Anthony Oliveira is a Canadian author, journalist, and pop culture critic whose work often explores the intersection of queerness, Christianity, and culture. He has received multiple GLAAD Media Awards and National Magazine Awards for his prose, comics, and journalism. Oliveira is the author of the 2024 international bestselling novel Dayspring, which was awarded the 2024 Dayne Ogilvie Prize for LGBTQ Emerging Writers. In addition to his novels, he has written comics for Marvel Comics and Steven Universe, and he is the creator and ongoing writer of Avengers Academy: Marvel's Voices. His prose has been featured in publications including The Washington Post, Fangoria, StarTrek.com, and Hazlitt. Oliveira holds a PhD in 17th century literature and has previously worked at the Glad Day Bookshop, recognized as the world's oldest surviving LGBT bookstore and event space, whose community has influenced his work.
