Anthony Johnson: podcast appearances and interviews

Anthony Kewoa Johnson was an American mixed martial artist known for his career primarily in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Throughout his career, he competed across multiple weight divisions including welterweight, middleweight, light heavyweight, and heavyweight. Johnson was a multiple time title challenger in the UFC and was ranked as the number one light heavyweight contender in official UFC rankings. He was also ranked second in the world by Sherdog and ESPN prior to his initial retirement in April 2017. Johnson briefly retired but returned to competition in May 2021, securing a victory by knockout in his final fight. Beyond his fighting career, he had a small acting role as a fighter in the 2011 film Warrior, which features a large international mixed martial arts tournament named Sparta. Born on March 6, 1984, Johnson passed away on November 13, 2022. Aside from his MMA career, he was affiliated with the Riverside County District Attorney's Office and served as an assistant coach at Youngstown State University.
