Anthony Jeselnik: podcast appearances and interviews

Anthony Jeselnik, born December 22, 1978, is an American comedian, writer, actor, and producer known for his dark comedy style. His comedic approach often features ironic misdirection, non sequiturs, biting insults, and an arrogant stage persona that frequently adopts amoral stances. Jeselnik was a writer for the first season of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and hosted a Comedy Central Presents special in 2009. His debut album Shakespeare, released in 2010, received critical acclaim. He also contributed as a writer for the Comedy Central Roasts and appeared as a performer during the 2011 roast of Donald Trump. Jeselnik continued to participate in other roasts, including those of Charlie Sheen and Roseanne Barr in 2012. In 2013, he hosted his own series on Comedy Central called The Jeselnik Offensive, which ran for two seasons. That year, he released his second album, Caligula, which served as an hour-long stand-up special. On July 22, 2015, Jeselnik became the host of NBC's Last Comic Standing, replacing J. B. Smoove. His subsequent stand-up specials include Thoughts and Prayers, premiering on Netflix in October 2015; Fire in the Maternity Ward, released in April 2019; and Bones and All, which premiered in November 2024. Jeselnik also starred in the NFL Media podcast The Rosenthal & Jeselnik Vanity Project with Gregg Rosenthal, which later continued as The Jeselnik & Rosenthal Vanity Project on the Comedy Central Podcast Network.
