Anne-Marie Slaughter: podcast appearances and interviews

Anne-Marie Slaughter is an American lawyer and political scientist. She is the author of the book Renewal: From Crisis to Transformation in Our Lives, Work, and Politics. Slaughter currently serves as the president and CEO of New America, an organization she will continue leading until her planned departure on June 30, 2026. Her career includes serving as the dean of the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs from 2002 to 2009, and she was the director of policy planning for the US State Department from 2009 to 2011, where she was the first woman to hold that position. Additionally, she served as the president of the American Society of International Law. Throughout her career, Slaughter has received numerous awards for her contributions, including the Woodrow Wilson School R.W. van de Velde Award in 1979, the Thomas Jefferson Medal in Law from the University of Virginia and the Thomas Jefferson Foundation in 2007, the Distinguished Service Medal from the US Secretary of State in 2011, and the Louis B. Sohn Award for Public International Law from the American Bar Association in 2012. She is also a member of the global advisory board for Oxford University's journal Global Summitry: Politics, Economics, and Law in International Governance.
