Ann Cavoukian: podcast appearances and interviews

Ann Cavoukian, born on October 7, 1952, is a former Information and Privacy Commissioner for the Canadian province of Ontario. She is known for developing the concept of privacy by design, which emphasizes integrating privacy considerations into the entire system engineering process. This concept was expanded through her collaboration with a joint Canadian-Dutch team before and during her tenure as commissioner, which lasted from 1997 to 2014. Following her service as Privacy Commissioner, Cavoukian was appointed as a distinguished visiting professor at Ryerson University, now known as Toronto Metropolitan University. She later became the executive director of the university's Privacy and Big Data Institute in 2014. Since 2017, she has served as the Distinguished Expert-in-Residence at the university's Privacy by Design Centre of Excellence. Cavoukian is affiliated with the Global Privacy and Security by Design Centre.
