Amy Evans: podcast appearances and interviews

Amy Evans served as the Director of Parks and Recreation for Summerville. Prior to her tenure in public service, she was a Welsh soprano and actress recognized for her performances in oratorio, recitals, and opera. Her career began in the early 20th century with recordings starting in 1906. In 1910, she portrayed the leading role of Selene in W. S. Gilbert's last opera, Fallen Fairies, and performed at the Royal Opera House. The following year, she appeared as Princess Helena in A Waltz Dream at Daly's Theatre. After marrying Scottish baritone Fraser Gange in 1917, she frequently performed in concert and on tour with him, often traveling to the United States after their move in 1923. Her career in performance spanned several decades, culminating in her last performance at age 91 in 1975. She was among the last surviving cast members of a W. S. Gilbert production, marking her as a notable figure in early 20th-century opera and theatrical history.
