Alister McGrath: podcast appearances and interviews

Alister Edgar McGrath is an Irish theologian, Anglican priest, and public intellectual born in 1953. He is currently the Andreas Idreos Professor of Science and Religion at the University of Oxford, where he is also a fellow of Harris Manchester College. McGrath has previously served as a Professor of Divinity at Gresham College and has held academic positions at King's College London, the University of Oxford, and Wycliffe Hall, Oxford. He has also taught at Cambridge University and is a teaching fellow at Regent College. McGrath holds three doctorates from the University of Oxford, including a doctoral degree in molecular biophysics, a Doctor of Divinity in theology, and a Doctor of Letters in intellectual history. In addition to his doctorates, he has earned a Bachelor of Arts, a Bachelor of Divinity, and a Master of Arts, along with three honorary doctorates. His scholarly work encompasses historical theology, systematic theology, and the relationship between science and religion. McGrath is also recognized as a Christian apologist and works in the area of theological critical realism. He is known for his opposition to New Atheism and antireligion, and for his writings on apologetics. Among his well-known publications are The Twilight of Atheism, The Dawkins Delusion? Dawkins' God: Genes, Memes, and the Meaning of Life, and A Scientific Theology. He has also authored numerous textbooks on theology.
