Alice Bag: podcast appearances and interviews

Alicia Alicia Armendariz, known as Alice Bag, is an American punk rock singer and author born on November 7, 1958. She is the lead vocalist and co-founder of the Bags, a band recognized as one of the earliest punk groups in Los Angeles during the mid-1970s. Bag has maintained an active presence in the music industry since the late 1970s, releasing multiple solo albums including her debut self-titled album in 2016, followed by Blueprint in 2018 and Sister Dynamite in 2020. In addition to her musical career, she authored a memoir titled Violence Girl: From East LA Rage to Hollywood Stage, published in 2011, and her second book in 2015. Her work has been recognized in various contexts, including being featured in the group exhibition Xican-a.o.x. Body in 2024, which showcased the experiences and contributions of Chicano artists from the 1960s to the present. This exhibition was held at significant cultural institutions such as the Cheech Marin Center for Chicano Art & Culture of the Riverside Art Museum in California and the Pérez Art Museum Miami in Florida.
