Alex Tabarrok: podcast appearances and interviews

Alexander Taghi Tabarrok, born on November 11, 1966, is a Canadian-American economist and a professor at George Mason University. He holds the Bartley J. Madden Chair in Economics at the university's Mercatus Center. Tabarrok completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Victoria in Canada and earned his Ph.D. from George Mason University in 1994. He has worked on topics including dominant assurance contracts, law and economics, and health economics. From 1999 to 2013, he served as the director of research for the Independent Institute, a think tank based in Oakland, California. Alongside Tyler Cowen, he co-authors the economics blog Marginal Revolution and has been involved in online education through Marginal Revolution University. In 2012, journalist David Brooks described him as one of the most influential bloggers on the political right, noting that he broadly starts from libertarian premises without applying them in a doctrinaire way.
