Adrian Sherwood: podcast appearances and interviews

Adrian Maxwell Sherwood, born on January 20, 1958, is an English record producer known for his work in dub music. He has developed a distinctive production style that incorporates dub effects and dub mixing techniques into electronic dance music and popular music beyond the genre. Recognized as a pioneer in the emerging genre of reggae-EDM, Sherwood has collaborated extensively with various reggae artists and musicians such as Keith LeBlanc, Doug Wimbish, and Skip McDonald. His remix work includes tracks by Coldcut, Depeche Mode, the Woodentops, Primal Scream, Pop Will Eat Itself, Sinéad O'Connor, and Skinny Puppy. Sherwood founded On-U Sound Records in 1979, which is his best-known label. He has also been a member of the band Tackhead. Despite considering himself tone deaf, Sherwood focuses on creating sounds and noises rather than melodies, emphasizing production techniques over traditional musical composition.
