Adam Hart: podcast appearances and interviews

Adam Hart is an English scientist, author, and broadcaster specializing in ecology, entomology, and conservation, with a particular focus on southern Africa. He is a professor of Science Communication at the University of Gloucestershire. Hart has co-presented three BBC television documentaries on social insects, including BBC4's Planet Ant: Life Inside the Colony and two series on BBC2, Life on Planet Ant and Hive Alive. He has also written and presented numerous documentaries for BBC Radio 4 and BBC World Service, contributing to the dissemination of scientific knowledge through media.

Hart has authored over 120 scientific papers and published several popular science books. His 2015 publication, The Life of Poo, explores human relationships with bacteria. In 2020, he published Unfit for Purpose, which examines mismatches between human evolution and the modern world. Hart's career was featured on Radio 4's Life Scientific in 2022, highlighting his early research on honeybees and leafcutting ants.

His 2023 books include The Deadly Balance: Predators and People in a Crowded World, which discusses conservation challenges, and a co-authored academic book, Trophy Hunting, which received the Marsh Ecology Book of the Year award in 2023.
