Adam Boyd: podcast appearances and interviews

Adam Mark Boyd, born on 25 May 1982, is an English former professional footballer known for his role as a striker. During his career, he played for Hartlepool United, making his debut in 1999 during his time at Hartlepool Manor School of Technology. He signed professional forms with Hartlepool and had a brief loan spell at Boston United in 2004. Boyd was an influential player upon his return to Hartlepool United, notably scoring 22 goals in League One during the 2004–05 season, helping the club in their pursuit of promotion to the Championship. In 2006, he transferred to Luton Town for a fee of £500,000 but struggled to settle at the Championship side, leading to his departure after one year. Following this, he joined Leyton Orient on a free transfer, where he spent two seasons. Boyd returned to Hartlepool United for a second spell, but this time his performance was less impactful, and he was released in 2012. After leaving Hartlepool, he continued his playing career in non-League football, with spells at Celtic Nation, Lincoln City, Spennymoor Town, and Bishop Auckland. Recognized for his contributions on the field, Boyd was named the 2025 National CFI of the Year, reflecting his influence and dedication within the football community.
