Follow-Up Email

A follow-up email is a second (or subsequent) message sent to a podcast host after the initial pitch has gone unanswered. Follow-ups materially improve conversion rates when timed and worded correctly.

How it works

Most unanswered podcast pitches result from busy inboxes, not explicit rejection. A single follow-up sent 5 to 7 days after the initial pitch recovers a significant share of lost opportunities. The follow-up should be short, reference the original message, and restate the value proposition without repeating the full pitch. PitchCentric automates follow-ups with configurable timing.

Example

A one-sentence follow-up, sent 6 days after an unanswered pitch, such as 'Hi Sarah, just checking in on my note from last week about appearing on [Show Name]. Happy to share more context if helpful,' often performs better than a detailed second pitch.
