Detected Sponsors
Detected sponsors are brands identified by PitchCentric's analysis pipeline as having advertised on a specific podcast. They are extracted from RSS episode descriptions using pattern matching on common sponsor disclosure language.
How it works
PitchCentric's sponsor detection pipeline scans episode descriptions for patterns like 'This episode is brought to you by...', 'Sponsored by...', and 'Our partner...'. When a brand is detected, it is stored in the detected_sponsors table with the episode count, giving a proxy for advertising frequency and relationship depth.
Example
If 15 episodes of a business podcast mention 'This week's episode is sponsored by Acme Software,' PitchCentric would list Acme Software as a detected sponsor with an episode count of 15, indicating a significant, ongoing advertising relationship.
