Springfield Public Schools (SPS), also known as the Springfield R-12 School District, is the largest public school district in Missouri, serving over 24,500 students in Springfield and the surrounding areas. Founded in 1857, SPS is headquartered at the Kraft/Bentley Administrative Center in Springfield. The district is fully accredited and emphasizes academic excellence, inclusivity, and student-centered learning.
