What does Informed do?

Trauma Informed Schools & Communities UK (TISCUK) is a Community Interest Company established in November 2019. The organization focuses on providing evidence-based training to schools, communities, and organizations across the UK. Its mission is to create trauma-informed and mentally healthy environments that support children and young people, addressing the UK's child mental health crisis through prevention and early intervention. TISCUK offers a range of training programs designed for various practitioners, including teachers, social workers, and health workers. Key offerings include whole staff inductions, senior leads training, and a Level 5 Practitioner Diploma in Trauma and Mental Health Informed Schools and Communities. The training emphasizes building resilience, identifying trauma responses, and fostering supportive environments. TISCUK has trained over 500 schools and community organizations nationwide, with a strong presence in Wales and ongoing efforts to expand its reach.
