WTMJ Interviews
This week on The Upswing, WTMJ’s Jeff Sherman welcomes back Martin Moore of Koss for another edition of The Future of Almost Everything. Jeff and Martin explore how technology is changing workplace norms, from voice prompts replacing keyboards to the benefits and drawbacks of phone-free events. They also discuss how national brands can connect locally, then brainstorm ways newcomers to Milwaukee can build community through networking, volunteering and getting outside their comfort zones. Plus, they tackle AI-powered personal assistants, data privacy, unwritten job interview rules, iced coffee and a few other signs of where work and technology may be headed next. ️ The Upswing is presented by Horicon Bank.

WTMJ Interviews
Jason Wilde joins Molly & Jim on the Yuengling Guest Hotline ahead of the Packers' MUST-WIN game versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with backup QB Jalon Daniels this Sunday! Jim asks if the Packers can be fixed with their new-look offensive line, and Jason wants to know why Molly looks so much like Alex Strouf today???? -- Will Kevin Zeitler start, and can he make them a playoff team still? They dive deeper into whether this season is still salvageable, can Jordan Love survive with this terrible O-Line, and do Gutey & Ed Policy always sit together at games?

WTMJ Interviews
The 2PM hour of Kyle & Brust is live from Rally House in Greenfield ahead of a monster Wisconsin sports weekend, and Sunday already feels enormous for the Packers. Kyle declares Tampa Bay a “must-win times 10” game and says falling to 1-3 after losing to an undrafted rookie quarterback would effectively end his hopes for the NFC North, playoffs and anything resembling a Super Bowl run. Ben and Will get more creative with Name the Game, including the “Hot Seat Invitational” with Matt LaFleur and Brian Gutekunst facing even more pressure if Green Bay falls flat again. Then comes the bigger football question: how exactly are the Packers going to score? Green Bay has the NFL’s worst rushing attack, Tampa Bay has been stout against the run and the revamped offensive line could be throwing veterans into action with almost no preparation. That leaves the game in Jordan Love’s hands against a vulnerable Buccaneers pass defense, but Love has been dramatically less effective under pressure and Green Bay’s 16% pass-block win rate is the worst since ESPN began tracking the statistic. Kyle still believes the Packers can win comfortably because Tampa Bay is starting rookie Jalon Daniels. Ben wants absolutely nothing to do with that prediction after watching Green Bay repeatedly play down to opposing quarterbacks and blow leads under LaFleur. The guys debate whether Kevin Zeitler and the new-look offensive line can change the offense quickly enough, and Ben explains why he has lost faith in LaFleur’s leadership after Green Bay’s recent collapse. Plus, the show discovers Will’s wonderfully chaotic three-TV bachelor setup, complete with two TVs on rolling carts, a massive couch and a weekend plan that apparently involves barely moving for 12 hours of Wisconsin sports.

On The Homer Hour, Steve “Homer” True and Gary Ellerson look ahead to a pivotal weekend for the Packers and debate whether Green Bay can still become the second-half team Gary envisioned before the season. Getting to 2-2 would keep the Packers within striking distance, but Gary admits the offensive line has been significantly worse than he expected. He likes the additions of Kevin Zeitler, Laken Tomlinson and Mekhi Becton, but says Green Bay waited too long to address a position group that got “young too quick.” Gary’s solution against Tampa Bay is simple: start Caleb Johnson and keep running the football, even if it isn’t working immediately. With veteran linemen potentially needing limited snaps and Jordan Love already taking a beating, Gary says Green Bay cannot expose its quarterback to another pass-heavy game. Homer agrees that protecting Love matters beyond Sunday because the fastest way to destroy any hope of a second-half turnaround is getting the franchise quarterback hurt. Then the conversation shifts to Wisconsin after its remarkable comeback at Penn State. Gary says the Badgers showed something they haven’t displayed enough under Luke Fickell: belief when everything was going wrong. After falling behind 17-0 on the road, Wisconsin refused to fold, and Gary believes Saturday’s Homecoming matchup against Michigan State will reveal whether that comeback represented a genuine turning point. His goal now? Stack wins and find a path to eight victories. Plus, former Brewer Jerry Augustine joins Homer ahead of Jacob Misiorowski’s playoff start and explains why Miz shouldn’t change anything for October. Augustine believes Misiorowski’s ability to control his emotions, locate his pitches and make adjustments is what separates him, and says the young ace already has experience handling the heightened atmosphere of postseason baseball.
