The Little Lizard Who Woke Up the Sun - A Mindful Bedtime Story for Kids
In this playful retelling of an Aztec folktale, Little Lizard wakes up to find that the sun has disappeared, and even though everyone else gives up, he keeps searching. When he finally finds the sun asleep inside a rock, Little Lizard brings all the animals together to help wake him up in the best way they can think of: with music, dancing, and a party. This story is a sweet reminder for children that even the smallest voice can make a big difference when it refuses to give up. Hey parents, here are 4 ways to build attachment as you listen to the story together: 1.) Imagine with your child. You could even use a heating pad if you want. 2.) Model long deep breaths for your child. 3.) Stretch with your child. 4.) Show your child the tapping motion as prompted.
