Slow Market, Strong Business: Get Back to the Basics & Get Intentional
Aug 20, 20261h 11mS2
The market is slow. Does your business have to be? This topic came straight from our listener survey, and it’s something we think a lot of people in real estate and business are feeling right now. When things slow down, it’s easy to fill the extra time just to feel busy. But being busy and being intentional are two very different things. This week on Beyond the Closing Table , Tab and Katelyn are talking about getting back to the basics and using a slower season to work on the things that often get pushed aside when business is booming. Are you staying connected with the people who already know and trust you? Are you following up? Are you working on your systems, your relationships and your business? And maybe the biggest question... if more business showed up tomorrow, are you actually ready for it? We’re talking about what we can work on NOW, why your existing relationships matter more than you think, and how to use a slower real estate market as an opportunity instead of just waiting for things to pick back up. The market may be slow. That doesn’t mean you have to be.
Closing Confessions: Read the Contract, Choose Your Team & Expect the Unexpected
Aug 13, 202648 minS2
We’re confessing... This week, Tab and Katelyn are talking about the things we hear at the closing table every single week, the things we wish buyers and sellers knew before closing, and some of the situations that leave us wondering how we even got here. We’re sharing takeaways from real closings, the good ones, the weird ones, and the ones that came with a few lessons. We also get into two of the biggest pain points we’ve seen lately: earnest money and inspections, why choosing the right Realtor and team matters more than you might think, and one piece of advice we will say over and over again... READ YOUR CONTRACT. Of course, it wouldn’t be us without getting a little off track. We’re sharing some Closing Confessions, things buyers and sellers actually say, and playing Would You Rather: Title Style. If you’re a Realtor, lender, title professional, investor, buyer, seller, or just someone who loves the behind the scenes of real estate, grab a seat. This is the stuff that happens before, during, and after the closing table that nobody really talks about. Welcome back to Beyond the Closing Table.
