An insightful and delightful podcast from ' The California Historical Radio Society (CHRS), highlighting the Bay Area's rich and significant contributions to the field. In our museum based in Alameda, California we house a vast collection of archival objects in our radio and broadcasting museum, featuring materials from local radio and television stations and private collectors that often appear in programs developed by CHRS members. The California Historical Radio Society (CHRS), a 501(c)(3) non-profit educational organization established in 1974, is dedicated to the preservation, restoration, research, and dissemination of early radio and broadcasting history. CHRS encompasses the Bay Area Radio Museum (BARM), which offers an online trove of audio recordings, documents, and photographs that chronicle the evolution of radio broadcasting in the San Francisco Bay Area, as well as BARHOF, the Bay Area Radio Hall of Fame, which honors the most impactful contributions to the region's radio history.
