On this month's episode, as we inch closer and closer to the start of Spooky Season, Josh and Colin look far back into the era of the late 90s to tackle one of the most well regarded titles in the Resident Evil franchise, Resident Evil 3: Nemesis. Originally conceived of as a spin off title, Re3 Nemesis is unabashedly more action centric than its predecessors with greater weapon variety, a dodge mechanic, a quick turn, and of course the persistent enemy known as Nemesis. As neither Josh, nor Colin had ever played the original title, but did have experience with the Remake from 2020, this was a fun one to look at and explore. Having played both versions of the game now, do Colin and Josh agree that the remake fell way short of its potential?   PS Plus Game Club - Episode 45: Another Crab's Treasure

  Krissy (Flora) and Kipp (FullLore) join Kevin to talk about the adorable but deep souls-like Another Crab’s Treasure. Though the game has a great story, this is absolutely not a spoilercast. Instead the three of them get into topics like how well the souls-like formula is implemented here, how well the shell system works, and what their favorite umami (magic) spells were. They also had to talk about the sense of humor on display here and the variety of ocean-related puns that are peppered throughout the game. It also wouldn’t be an episode about a souls-like game without covering boss fights, so they go through a list of just some of the best and worst that gave them so much trouble. They also touch on the accessibility options that make this one of the most approachable games in the very intimidating genre and why anyone should at least try it. One of these options takes the concept of accessibility in a unique direction and they touch upon just how ridiculous it is. Throughout the episode Krissy also schools them with the staggering breadth of her oceanic knowledge and how many excellent real-life references there are here. If you haven’t played Another Crab’s Treasure by the time you’re listening to this episode, we sincerely hope this gets you to at least try it.

  Warmest of Welcomes Everyone For Septembers episode the boys once again find themselves recording during the same week as TTP, so the show is once again slightly altered. However the boys are joined by Fauxrambo aka Ben for the return of Mini Topics Volume 4. The boys start with another crack at the A-Z challenge where Max redeems himself for his last performance, pulling out games such as Bright Memory Infinite and Tak & The Power of JuJu. With the year fast coming to a close the boys once again stack on some more Cactuar Vs Tonberry challenges for each other where Max issues Zac a challenge to dive deep into the past and Zac asks Max to kick some ass! Ben has some meaningful challenges to add to the stacks. In what we’ve been playing Max finally returns to the world of odd and Zac once again takes the souls form in the divisive sequel and Ben becomes a filthy casual that continues to play a live service game thats already been platinumed. The boys each bring a topic to the table as is tradition with Mini Topics, they discuss what they would like to see for Insomniac after Wolverine, which old games they’d like to see receive DLC and the constant rake stepping Sony is doing with Playstation and what Max and Zac would do different if they were co-CEOS.   Hello one and all and welcome back to another episode of Trophy Talk! This month Josh and Colin gather around the digital fireplace to discuss a whole slew of topics related to PS5 and trophies of course. We begin the show with the recent news surrounding GTA 6, namely the leak and how we felt about it before diving into custom set of trophies we created for the game! Will any of our misc. trophies be close to what's in the actual GTA 6 trophy list? Probably not, but it's a fun way to creatively think about what the mammoth game from Rockstar may have in store for us. From there we move on to Platinum shout outs of course, pulled straight from our Trophy Room channel in our Discord community. As always we continue to be impressed by the breadth and difficulty of games being completed by our community. Ya'll are awesome. Lastly, we close the show with what we've been playing! Both Josh and Colin have spent a great deal of time the last few weeks on Big Walk, a game which never fails to surprise and delight us with its take on the co-op gaming experience. Colin also touches on Quake: Dawn of the Machine, the new DLC for a 30 year old game, in celebration of its 30th anniversary. Josh on the other hand maintains his push, and struggle to complete AC: Shadows, and gets a couple other easier completions out of the way with Kao: The Kangaroo, and Goat Simulator 3.   Trophy Talk August 2026 Special Episode

  In this very special episode of Trophy Talk Kevin and Max team up to talk about games that are still only playable on PlayStation 3. Throughout the episode Kevin gets a little trigger-happy with the soundboard and Max goes through a few beers to quell the frustration of Sony’s hubris. First they run through some special plat shoutouts, and then Max sprints at a record pace through the list of games mentioned in the previous PS1, PS2, and PSP episodes of the Mooglecast. Starting off the main topic of the show they each talk about the many obvious games like the Resistance, Infamous, Motorstorm, etc. They also bring up some of the other lesser talked about games like Puppeteer and Mod Nation Racers. Then there are loads of 3rd-party games to talk about like Wet and Castlevania Lords of Shadow. While many of them can be played on the current XBOX, we still want to play the games with the feel of a Dualsense in our hands and to earn a few trophies while basking in the greatness of what was the PS3. They also talk about the many indies that were released only as downloads when these were Sony’s first steps into the digital frontier.
