Episode #6
Presenting... Yukon Wildlife and Wildfire
Our fall series will wrap up on October 14 with the story of how the Yukon Brewing Company was “made in the Yukon." In the meantime, we want to share an episode of a podcast that our former host, Karen McColl, recently produced in her position as a Wildlife Viewing Specialist with the Government of Yukon’s Wildlife Viewing Program . In a five-part series called Yukon Wildlife and Wildfire , Karen and fellow naturalist Carrie McClelland guide listeners through several Yukon burns to explain how new life emerges in the aftermath of wildfire. In our featured episode— “Takhini Bridge Fire: Hoo is there?” —Carrie and Karen head west of Whitehorse to explore what’s happening in one of the territory’s more recent and accessible post-fire landscapes.
