Welcome to ”The Supply Chain Dialogues” bi-weekly podcast. After three seasons, where we questioned and explored facts, beliefs & myths of Supply Chain, Procurement and Operations Management, we are now moving "Beyond Compliance" in Sustainability, especially what it takes to get to GHG emissions net-zero. We bust a few myths, show the reality of a government, instead of market-based transformation, and offer a path to real climate change actions on a grand scale. The podcast host is Daniel Helmig, founder and CEO of helmig advisory AG, and is joined occasionally by AI co-host Aimee...but more on this in the show. For decades, he led procurement, supply chain and operations globally in five industries (automotive, semiconductor, power & automation, food & beverage, and professional services). He lived in the US, the UK, Germany and now, Switzerland.

Episode #8
S04E08 - Transform or Perish: The Leader of 2040
Dec 2, 202542 minS4
In the final episode of Season 4, Dr Daniel Helmig paints a vision of what supply chain leadership will look like in 2040, when net-zero targets are expected to be achieved. Moving beyond the problems identified in previous episodes, this forward-looking conversation explores the capabilities, structures, and mindsets that will separate tomorrow's winners from today's compliance-focused organisations. From 'transformation pods' replacing functional silos to shadow carbon pricing becoming standard practice, this episode provides a roadmap for leaders ready to build the future rather than perfect the past. Essential listening for anyone wanting to understand – and prepare for – the coming decade of supply chain transformation.
S04E07 - What Actually Works: Recommendations for Achieving Net-Zero Emissions
Nov 17, 202535 minS4
After six episodes dismantling conventional wisdom about supply chain sustainability, Episode 7 delivers actionable solutions. Based on rigorous research with German discrete manufacturing companies, this episode translates counterintuitive findings into specific recommendations for academics, policymakers, and business leaders. Discover why transformation trumps measurement, why current regulatory approaches fail, and what actually works to achieve net-zero Scope 3 emissions. Essential listening for anyone frustrated that sustainability investments aren't delivering climate impact.
S04E06 - The Organisation Conundrum - When Bigger Means Slower
Nov 4, 202534 minS4
In this episode of Supply Chain Dialogues, Daniel Helmig and AI co-host AImee explore the organisation paradox: why larger companies with more resources struggle more with Scope 3 emissions reduction than smaller firms. Drawing from doctoral research on 248 German manufacturing companies, the discussion reveals that organisational complexity creates systematic barriers through siloed decision-making, diffused accountability, risk aversion at scale, and incentive misalignment. The episode contrasts this with the surprising finding that geographic diversity positively influences implementation effectiveness, suggesting that international complexity can be leveraged as a strategic advantage. Practical solutions include creating dedicated transformation teams with genuine authority, implementing decentralised decision-making with centralised coordination, modifying incentive systems to prioritise carbon metrics, and establishing cross-functional governance structures. The episode emphasises that structural change, not just commitment, is essential for achieving meaningful Scope 3 emissions reduction.
S04E05 - The Tech Trap - Why (just) Digital Transformation Doesn’t Deliver Decarbonisation
Oct 19, 202537 minS4
In this episode of Supply Chain Dialogue, Daniel Helmig and AI co-host Amy discuss the pitfalls of relying solely on sophisticated technology for achieving net-zero scope three emissions. They explore the concept of 'digital displacement,' where companies substitute technological solutions for necessary operational changes, leading to minimal actual reductions in emissions. Real-life examples demonstrate that a low-tech approach often surpasses high-tech solutions in terms of meaningful impact. The discussion also critiques the European Union's Digital Product Passport legislation, arguing it creates more compliance theatre rather than driving real emission reductions. Listeners are encouraged to focus on simple, targeted tools and human-centred approaches for effective supply chain transformation.
S04E04 - The Policy Paradox - Why Regulations Reduce Action
Oct 5, 202519 minS4
In this episode of 'Supply Chain Dialogues,' Daniel Helmig and AI co-host Amy discuss the ineffectiveness of current EU regulatory policies in achieving net-zero emissions by 2040. They reveal that positive perceptions of regulatory frameworks actually correlate with less action on emission reductions, particularly due to a focus on easier-to-control Scope 1 and 2 emissions, while neglecting more impactful Scope 3 emissions. The episode critiques the 'sustainability bureaucracy' that diverts resources from practical actions to compliance activities and calls for a fundamental revision of regulatory approaches, emphasising real transformation over compliance theatre.

What is the difference between Founder Solo and Founder Pro?
Founder Solo gives you 50 AI pitches per month using the credit model (Standard pitches cost 1 credit, Enriched pitches cost 2). Founder Pro raises that to 200 credits per month and adds full Booking Probability access, unlimited Magic Match, Apollo enrichment credits, and data export capabilities. Both plans use the same credit system, so you can stretch your monthly budget further by using Standard-mode drafting.
How do agency tiers work?
Agency tiers have no base fee. You pay per managed client and per talent profile. Agency Standard is $199 per client per month; Agency Pro is $399 per client per month. Both add $39 per talent profile per month. Your own team's user seats are always free.
What is a talent profile?
A talent profile represents one person (founder, executive, or spokesperson) you are booking onto podcasts. It includes their bio, topics, headshots, and outreach history. Team plans include 5 profiles; agency plans are pay-as-you-go.
Can I switch plans later?
Yes, at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades apply at the end of the current billing period. Contact support if you need help migrating between plan families.
Do you offer a free trial?
Every paid plan includes a 15-day free trial. Your card is saved at signup but you will not be charged until day 16. Cancel any time from your dashboard.
What happens if I cancel?
You keep access until the end of your current billing period. No charges after that. Your data is retained for 30 days in case you reactivate.
Is the 20% annual discount automatic?
Yes. Select Annual on the pricing toggle and the discounted price is applied automatically at checkout. The annual price shown is the full year cost.
What if I have more than 50 profiles or 20 clients?
That is our Enterprise tier. Contact our sales team and we will build a custom plan with volume pricing, a dedicated account manager, and SLA guarantees.
