The Value of Money: Why Some People Can Charge More & Get Paid More
What actually gives money its value? Money has taken many forms throughout history—from gold and silver to the fiat currency and digital dollars we use today. But underneath every transaction is something even more fundamental: Value. Before money ever changes hands, there is an exchange of value. And this raises some fascinating questions: Why will someone happily pay $10,000 for one service while someone else wouldn't pay $100 for it? Why can two people offer something seemingly similar and have completely different levels of income? And why does simply “raising your prices” not necessarily create more money? In this episode, I’m diving into the relationship between money, value, pricing, self-worth, and energy—especially as it applies to entrepreneurs and business owners. Because you can have an incredible offer, but if you don't feel the value of what you're offering, it becomes much harder to consistently communicate that value, charge for it, and receive money for it. And on the other side, sometimes we over-deliver, over-prove, and overwork because we've unconsciously decided that we need to do more to be worthy of receiving more. What if you didn't have to prove your value through how much you do?
