Episode #7
IT TAKES TWO. SO WHY DOES FERTILITY STILL FEEL LIKE HER RESPONSIBILITY?
When a couple struggles to conceive, why is the conversation so often centred around the woman? Her age. Her hormones. Her eggs. Her diet. Her body. Her treatment. But what about him? In this episode of The Search for Wellness, I sit down with Neeketa Khimasia, certified holistic fertility coach and founder of Fertility Balance by Neeketa, to ask whether we need to change the way we think and talk about fertility — in Kenya and beyond. Fertility challenges are not exclusively a female issue. Male factors can contribute too, and sometimes factors are found in both partners. Yet women can still find themselves carrying much of the investigation, treatment, lifestyle changes and emotional burden. So why is that? We talk about the cultural conversation around fertility, why Neeketa rarely uses the word “infertility,” and why fertility health needs to involve both partners. We also explore nutrition and metabolic health, egg and sperm quality, age, hormones, stress, environmental exposures and endocrine disruptors, preparing for IVF, fertility myths, and what we can all be doing to support our reproductive health — even before we're ready to have children. This isn't about finding someone to blame. It's about changing the conversation from “What’s wrong with her?” to “How can we support them both?” CONNECT WITH NEEKETA Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/fertilitybalance?stkn=MW5zM3o3YjRmMmtpYg== Website: www.fertility-balance.com Contact: neeketa@fertility-balance.com FOLLOW ME ON INSTAGRAM https://www.instagram.com/fitmummyof_3?stkn=MWt4aTJjemtyMWVtZg%3D%3D&utm_source=qr #FertilityAwareness #MaleFertility #FertilityHealth #ReproductiveHealth #TheSearchForWellness
