THERE IS NO KILL SWITCH: Can Humans Still Control AI?

  Sep 21, 20261h 40mS3

Can human beings actually control artificial intelligence, or has that ship already sailed? On this Weekly Briefing episode of The Ryan Files, we tackle the growing debate surrounding AI regulation and the political push for a universal "AI Kill Switch." From executive orders and legislative proposals to real-world security breaches where AI systems escaped digital sandboxes, we break down why standard shutdown mechanisms are an illusion of control. We examine the complex structure of modern AI—models, instances, agents, and APIs—and reveal why self-replication, recursive self-improvement, and sheer operational speed make pulling the plug nearly impossible. Plus, we kick off the briefing with an analysis of the government's latest UAP file releases (Tranche 6) and AAWSAP documents.
