Ep. 39: What Millions of YouTube Views Taught Sean Untitled Episode
Sean Trace has seen just about every version of YouTube success. He runs multiple podcasts and YouTube channels spanning personal finance, self-help, music, wine and educational content. Along the way, he’s watched videos get 20 views, 100 views, hundreds of thousands of views and, in one case, 10 million. The surprising part? The 10-million-view video wasn’t necessarily the one they expected to win. In this episode of The Real #Finfluencers , Sean shares what years of creating across multiple channels have taught him about building an audience, growing a network and figuring out what actually resonates. He explains why interviewing people with great perspectives can open doors far beyond the podcast itself, why financial advisors have an opportunity to reach the enormous group of “average savers” who need credible financial guidance, and why creators have to publish enough content to learn what works. Sean also talks about why view counts aren’t the only measure of video ROI. For him, network growth, engagement within your existing community and increasing inbound opportunities can be just as meaningful. And after all those channels, episodes and millions of views, one lesson from Sean remains pretty hard to argue with: “You don’t get visible by NOT recording.” Sean Trace / Full Battery Media: https://www.fullbatterymedia.com/ Growing Money with Sean Trace: https://www.youtube.com/@growingmoneywithseantrace The Sean Trace Show: https://www.youtube.com/@theseantraceshow Sean Trace on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/seantrace/ Idea Decanter: www.ideadecanter.com ️ The Real #Finfluencers is powered by Idea Decanter —a video first marketing company helping financial advisors grow their practices with authentic, engaging video content.
