What does it actually take to get a pre-seed check written in 2024? Lucas and Luna sit down with founders who raised their first institutional money before having a product, a co-founder, or even a clear market. Each episode reconstructs the exact pitch, the numbers on the cap table, and the moments that made an angel say yes. Lucas presses for the unit economics that were actually in the deck; Luna asks how the founder dealt with the 40 rejections. This show is for the solo founder who has a slide deck but no warm intro — and wants to see how others crossed that gap. No success-porn, no generic advice: just the concrete mechanics of the first check, deal by deal.#PreSeed #IdeaStage #FirstCheck #AngelInvesting #SeedFunding #StartupCapital #FounderStories #PitchDeck #CapTable #VentureCapital #EarlyStage #StartupAdvice #Business #FexingoBusiness #BusinessPodcast #Technology #FundingStrategy #SoloFounderKeep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com

How Pre-Seed Founders Use a Warm Intro Through an Unlikely Channel
Aug 21, 20268 minS4
In this episode, Lucas and Luna explore how pre-seed founders can open doors through an underused channel: alumni networks. They dig into why a warm intro from a fellow alum — even one you've never met — can outperform a cold email or a conference hallway chat, and how one founder used a university alumni directory to land a meeting with a partner at a top-tier venture firm. The conversation covers practical tactics like crafting a short, specific ask, referencing shared context, and following up without being pushy. Lucas and Luna also get real about the economics of the show, noting that listener support on buy me a coffee dot com slash fexingo keeps the podcast ad-free. If you're an idea-stage founder looking for an edge in opening investor conversations, this episode offers a fresh angle on an old-school network. #PreSeedFunding #WarmIntro #AlumniNetwork #IdeaStage #FirstChecks #InvestorRelations #Networking #ColdEmail #VentureCapital #FounderAdvice #StartupTips #Business #Technology #FexingoBusiness #BusinessPodcast #PodcastEpisode #LucasAndLuna #StartupNetworking Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo

How Pre-Seed Founders Validate Demand Before Building
Aug 19, 202610 minS4
In this episode, Lucas and Luna explore how idea-stage founders can validate customer demand before writing a single line of code. They break down the story of a founder who used a simple landing page and a pre-order campaign to test interest in a niche productivity app — without spending a dime on ads. Lucas shares the exact metrics that signal real demand, like conversion rate and willingness to pay, and explains why a hundred pre-orders beat a thousand newsletter signups. Luna challenges him on the risks of over-validating and shares a cautionary tale about a founder who waited too long to launch. They discuss the balance between speed and evidence, and wrap up with a framework for deciding when you've gathered enough proof to start building. If you're a pre-seed founder sitting on an idea, this episode gives you a practical roadmap to validate it without wasting months or money. #PreSeed #IdeaStage #Validation #DemandTesting #LandingPage #PreOrders #CustomerDevelopment #LeanStartup #MVP #NoCode #FounderJourney #StartupAdvice #BusinessValidation #EarlyStage #FexingoBusiness #BusinessPodcast #TechStartup #Entrepreneurship Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo
In this episode of The Pre-Seed Podcast, Lucas and Luna dive into the cap table — the foundational document every founder must master before raising their first dollar. They explore why a cap table is more than a spreadsheet: it's a strategic tool that shapes dilution, control, and future fundraising. Through the lens of a realistic pre-seed round, they break down how to model ownership percentages, the impact of a 20 percent option pool, and the often-overlooked differences between pre-money and post-money SAFEs. They also discuss how to avoid common pitfalls like miscalculating dilution or giving away too much in the first round. Whether you're a solo founder or have a co-founder, this episode offers a clear, approachable framework for building and maintaining a cap table that keeps you in control while attracting investors. Listeners will learn one concrete takeaway: how to use a cap table model to negotiate a better pre-money valuation and protect their equity from day one. #CapTable #PreSeed #Founders #StartupEquity #Dilution #OptionPool #SAFE #Fundraising #VentureCapital #StartupFinance #Business #Technology #Equity #Ownership #StartupBasics #FexingoBusiness #BusinessPodcast #PreSeedPodcast Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo
In this episode, Lucas and Luna dissect the anatomy of a pre-seed pricing page. Most founders treat pricing as an afterthought, slapping a number on a page and hoping for the best. But the pricing page is often the first real conversation with a potential customer. Lucas walks through a specific teardown of a SaaS pricing page, showing how the order of plans, the anchoring effect of a premium tier, and the psychology of a 'Most Popular' badge can quietly multiply conversion. Luna challenges him on when a pricing page even matters—what if you're pre-revenue and still validating? They discuss the difference between a pricing page that converts and one that merely informs, and how early-stage founders can run a 'pricing page teardown' on their competitors. The episode lands on a practical framework: map every element of your pricing page to a specific objection a buyer might have. If an element doesn't answer a question, cut it. Specific examples from real pre-seed pages (like a two-tier vs. three-tier setup) bring the framework to life. By the end, founders will know exactly what to audit in their own pricing page before their next investor conversation. #PricingPage #PreSeed #FounderTips #SaaS #ConversionRate #PricingStrategy #EarlyStage #Startup #Business #Technology #CustomerPsychology #Anchoring #MostPopularBadge #SaaSPricing #Founders #FexingoBusiness #BusinessPodcast #PricingTeardown Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo
Every question we get asked before someone starts their trial.
If you have a concern about deliverability, AI quality, data privacy, or whether this will actually work for your specific situation, it's probably answered below.
What is the difference between Founder Solo and Founder Pro?
Founder Solo gives you 50 AI pitches per month using the credit model (Standard pitches cost 1 credit, Enriched pitches cost 2). Founder Pro raises that to 200 credits per month and adds full Booking Probability access, unlimited Magic Match, Apollo enrichment credits, and data export capabilities. Both plans use the same credit system, so you can stretch your monthly budget further by using Standard-mode drafting.
How do agency tiers work?
Agency tiers have no base fee. You pay per managed client and per talent profile. Agency Standard is $199 per client per month; Agency Pro is $399 per client per month. Both add $39 per talent profile per month. Your own team's user seats are always free.
What is a talent profile?
A talent profile represents one person (founder, executive, or spokesperson) you are booking onto podcasts. It includes their bio, topics, headshots, and outreach history. Team plans include 5 profiles; agency plans are pay-as-you-go.
Can I switch plans later?
Yes, at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades apply at the end of the current billing period. Contact support if you need help migrating between plan families.
Do you offer a free trial?
Every paid plan includes a 15-day free trial. Your card is saved at signup but you will not be charged until day 16. Cancel any time from your dashboard.
What happens if I cancel?
You keep access until the end of your current billing period. No charges after that. Your data is retained for 30 days in case you reactivate.
Is the 20% annual discount automatic?
Yes. Select Annual on the pricing toggle and the discounted price is applied automatically at checkout. The annual price shown is the full year cost.
What if I have more than 50 profiles or 20 clients?
That is our Enterprise tier. Contact our sales team and we will build a custom plan with volume pricing, a dedicated account manager, and SLA guarantees.
