They talk about what it was like growing up nearly a decade apart, being raised in a Christian home, the difference between public school and Christian school, music and some of their family's favorite memories, their grandparents, and Hannah's journey into nursing. Hannah also shares some of the experiences she had working in the ER and labor & delivery, before eventually settling into endoscopy. But this conversation comes at a unique time. After 33 years in New Jersey, Hannah has just left her nursing job and is preparing for a huge new chapter with her husband as they move to Florida. It's a fun, honest, sometimes emotional look back at where we came from, the memories we share, the faith we were raised in, and what it means to watch someone you love start a completely new chapter.   Episode 29 - More Like Christ

  Would someone see Jesus if they followed you around for 24 hours? That question stopped us in our tracks—and it became the starting point for this episode of The Photo Album Podcast. We’re having an honest conversation about what it looks like to reflect Christ in our everyday lives. Not just at church or when we’re intentionally trying to be “good Christians,” but in the small, ordinary interactions that make up our days. We talk about stepping outside of our comfort zones, making the first move when it comes to meeting people, getting more involved in our communities, building relationships with our neighbors, and being more intentional about the way we interact with people at church and at our kids’ school. We also talk about something that hits a little closer to home: our kids are watching us. The way we treat people, the way we respond to others, and whether or not we’re willing to step outside of ourselves can teach them far more than anything we simply tell them. And through it all, we keep coming back to one question: Are we living in a way that reflects Jesus—even when nobody is watching? We certainly don’t have it all figured out. In fact, this conversation left us realizing there are plenty of areas where *we* need to do better. But maybe that’s the point. Following Christ means continually asking how we can grow, serve, love others, and make sure our lives actually reflect what we say we believe.   The First Day of School: Letting Go, Growing Up & All the Feelings in Between Day one of school is officially in the books… and somehow, we think the parents may have had more emotions than the kids. In this episode of The Photo Album Podcast, we’re talking about our oldest daughter Molly’s very first day of first grade—and everything that came with it. This wasn’t just another first day of school. It was her first day at a brand-new school, which meant new teachers, new friends, a new routine, and a whole lot of uncertainty for all of us. We talk about the nerves leading up to that first drop-off, the emotional moment of sending your child off into a place where you can't be there to protect them, and the strange realization that your little kids are suddenly becoming actual kids right before your eyes. For us, this episode is really about one of the hardest parts of parenting: watching your children grow, knowing you can't always go with them. If you’re a parent sending your child back to school—or especially sending them to a new school—we hope you’ll relate to some of the emotions we experienced and maybe feel a little less alone in them.
