  Acweorna! Episode 1089 comes rattling out of the Squirrel Dray with a non-LP punk classic from 1980 before heading into post-Stiv territory, Dead Boys connections and Covers Corner. There are songs swapping bands, a Metal vocalist tackling the Sex Pistols, a much-loved two-minute punk classic given a fresh coat of rock ’n’ roll paint, news from next April’s Savage Magic Records Euro Showcase in Cologne and a selection of new releases covering punk, power pop, garage rock and full-throttle guitar noise. The show was pre-recorded as Griff and I were up at London’s legendary 100 Club for a rather special album-launch gig—something you’ll undoubtedly hear much more about next week. Showcasing original music from Beckenham, Penge, Bromley and Sydenham, the album was made possible with support from Southey Brewing Co and Three Hounds Beer Company. Before tackling the record itself, Status Quo ease us into proceedings with a nod to their Beckenham connections.
