Facing the Voices of Fear That's Shrinking You Pt 1 |Ep 218
Aug 11, 202624 min
The moment you say yes to what God has been whispering, a louder voice shows up. This episode helps you recognize it, name it, and stop mistaking fear for wisdom before it talks you out of your next step. Aldreama Harper breaks down what happens after you decide to begin again with what you already have. Drawing from her upcoming book, The Widow, The Ant, and the Algorithm: How to Start a Business With What’s Already in Your Hands , she shows why the fear voice gets strongest right before your biggest step of obedience - and why that is often a sign you are on the right path, not the wrong one. You’ll discover: The difference between choosing and deciding, and why that distinction matters Why fear often sounds like your own thoughts, just a little meaner The first two faces of the fear voice: comparison and qualifications How comparison convinces you the world is already full, when your assignment is actually unique How “I need one more certification” can disguise procrastination The simple two-column exercise from the book that helps pull fear out of hiding Aldreama also shares a personal story about crossing a bridge in Louisiana, using it to show how anxiety builds obstacles in your mind that are much bigger than the reality in front of you. It is a clear reminder that fear does not always arrive as panic. Sometimes it comes dressed as caution, reason, or humility. This episode matters if you are building a podcast, service-based business, coaching practice, or creative work and keep hearing the voice that says, “Who do you think you are?” The cost of believing that voice is staying stuck, overprepared, and unseen. The opportunity is learning to move anyway, with clarity, sound judgment, and the confidence that your calling is not a copy of someone else’s. Part one of a two-part teaching series, this episode is essential listening if you are ready to stop waiting for a better season and start with what is already in your hands. Are you waiting for a better season to begin the thing God has put on your heart? In this episode, Dream — Efficiency Architect and Fractional COO for podcasters and service-based entrepreneurs — opens a brand-new teaching series from her upcoming book, "The Widow, the Ant & the Algorithm." Learn to tell the difference between panic and preparation, why waiting for a "better season" is quietly costing you, and one honest question that will help you take your first faithful step this week. Grounded in Proverbs 6:6–8 and 1 Corinthians 14:40 — let all things be done decently and in order.

What happens when your product is beautiful, your mission is holy, and your marketing engine is quietly broken? In this episode, Dream sits down with Sarah Holt — founder and CEO of Cacao Voyage, a luxury Panamanian chocolate import company where 50% of proceeds fund support for human trafficking survivors. Sarah is a certified holistic health coach, ordained minister, and one of the few U.S. importers of small-producer, bean-to-bar Panamanian chocolate.
