Every weekday, Lucas and Luna dissect the U.S. labor market through the lens of the latest BLS jobs report, JOLTS data, unemployment claims, and payroll trends. They analyze which sectors are hiring—and which are cutting—using real Bureau of Labor Statistics numbers, Fed Beige Book excerpts, and shifts in wage growth. Conversations range from the impact of AI on clerical roles to the geography of remote work vacancies, and from unionization waves in the auto industry to the churn in tech layoffs versus healthcare hiring. Lucas brings the journalistic rigor, Luna the probing questions about what the data means for job seekers, HR leaders, and policymakers. No hot takes, no fluff—just a grounded, number-driven look at who is working, who isn't, and why. Can a 3.7% unemployment rate hide a fragile underbelly of part-time and gig workers? That's the kind of question they tackle, episode after episode.#LaborMarket #Employment #Unemployment #JobTrends #BLS #JOLTS #WageGrowth #JobsReport #Hi

With the unemployment rate holding steady at 4.10 percent and job openings rising to 7,271,000, companies are facing a paradox: they have plenty of openings but are terrified of overpaying for talent. We examine how the combination of sticky inflation data and cautious Fed policy is forcing employers to use non-monetary levers like equity and flexibility instead of base salary hikes. Lucas and Luna break down why your next offer might look different than the one you received last year, and what that means for career negotiation strategy in late 2026. #FexingoBusiness #BusinessPodcast #LaborMarket #HiringTrends #WageGrowth #UnemploymentRate #JobOpenings #CareerStrategy #SalaryNegotiation #InflationImpact #FedPolicy #EmployeeRetention #Compensation #JobSeekers #EmployerStrategy #EconomicOutlook #FutureOfWork #FinanceNews Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo

Why Stable Jobs Are Hiring For Potential Not Experience
Sep 9, 20268 minS4
The labor market in early September 2026 tells a strange story. With the unemployment rate holding steady at four point one percent and job openings ticking up to seven million two hundred thousand, companies are not scrambling for bodies. They are being picky. Agency tiers have no base fee. You pay per managed client and per talent profile. Agency Standard is $199 per client per month; Agency Pro is $399 per client per month. Both add $39 per talent profile per month. Your own team's user seats are always free.
What is a talent profile?
