  The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City is back, and the Season Seven premiere opens in a place nobody could have scripted. Mary Cosby lost her son, Robert Cosby Jr., in February. He was twenty three. He came home on February third, filming began the next day, and three weeks later the cast learned he was gone. Bravo dedicated the episode to him. On this episode of The Good Edit Unfiltered, behavioral analyst Elle Schwartz walks the premiere in viewing order and asks the question this show always asks. What did production choose to show you, and why in that order? Elle opens with the confessionals and the phrase that keeps turning up across three different chairs, put the differences aside. She looks at Angie Katsanevas gathering the women for a Greek luncheon before Mary is even in the room, and what a table does to behavior.   The Next Gen NYC Season 2 reunion is this cast's first, and they say so out loud before anybody has anything to defend. Elle sits with the honesty of a room that has not learned yet what it is supposed to protect. The middle is where the night turns. Brooks, nearly silent for a season, detonates on Charlie, and Elle draws a hard line between the accusation everyone will clip and the smaller grievance underneath it that actually hurt him. Charlie answers a question about how he treats someone by naming who his friends are. Georgia delivers a speech about hopping between circles and rewriting narratives. Liam whispers nearly the same words to Gia from across the room. And then the thing that reframes the whole season: the fight between Georgia and Charlie turns out to have been built on information that was simply wrong, and not one person on that stage asks where she got it. Elle also sits with the most useful sentence spoken on a Bravo stage this year. Andy explains that confessionals ask the cast to speak to how they felt in the moment of filming rather than how they feel now, and that watching it back can reactivate what was already resolved.   Villain is a job on a reality show, and it comes with requirements. Behavioral analyst Elle Schwartz lists five of them, then hands you a Next Gen NYC cast member who meets every single one. This is the Part One preview of the first ever Next Gen NYC reunion, and it starts where the night actually starts, with the seating chart. Bravo posted it, and it tells you the whole evening before anybody speaks. Ariana Biermann sits first chair on one side. Charlie Zakkour sits first chair on the other. Liam Obergfoll is on her row. Hudson McLeroy is at the far end of Charlie's, and those two are reportedly not speaking, which makes that entire row a conflict row. Then count the chairs. Twelve. Kendall White is listed with the cast and is not one of them. From there Elle lays out the five requirements for the job. Everybody's story has to run through you. You have to cooperate with the label instead of fighting it. Nobody can be protecting you. You have to stay calm while everybody else loses it. And you have to say the incriminating part yourself, so the network never has to take a position. Then she runs Charlie against all five. His whole year sits inside other people's storylines. Ariana's season gets graded against him. Liam says I love you for the first time at half past five in the morning, inside a conversation about Charlie. Emira D'Spain spends four episodes cleaning up a fight she did not start. Georgia McCann says she owes it to Emira to be honest, and the thing she owes the truth about is him. Told he was being called the bad boy, Charlie said, "I like it. I'll take it." And he told a producer he could see a clearer world where he might have to step on Liam's toes if the opportunity arises. Bravo never has to call him anything. It just plays his own tape back. Elle is careful about the line she will not cross, and she says so on air. This is documented conduct and the edit built around it. Who he is as a person is something nobody watching can tell you.
