EP.210 The Design Brief - Paul Mogford (Crafter + Mogford)

  Sep 24, 20262h 17mS1

The Design Brief segment of The Golfing Greenkeeper Podcast is proudly brought to you by McMahons . Check out their website to get a better understanding of their suite of services and outstanding portfolio of work at www.mcmahons.net.au Paul Mogford came into golf course architecture from a landscape architecture background. It was after reading an article written by the late great Peter Thomson that, as Paul puts it, "lit a flame". And so began his pursuit to work in the golf course architecture industry. This conversation with Paul explores some of Paul's work as an architect such as Metropolitan and Sanctuary Cove, and there's a brand new project soon to start. We also explore his partnership in business with Neil Crafter where they would ultimately become Crafter + Mogford, and I have an interesting question for Paul to close out our conversation, which is met with an equally interesting answer! This conversation will keep you entertained and maybe even asking yourself some questions, particularly at the end, so get comfy, put your ears on and join us as we go deep! You hit 'em clean and we'll keep 'em green! The Golfing Greenkeeper - Instagram The Golfing Greenkeeper - Facebook The Golfing Greenkeeper TV - YouTube Send me an email to - thegolfinggreenkeeper@gmail.com People and places mentioned in this podcast: Crafter + Mogford Dan Soutar - top100golfcourses.com Wentworth Falls Country Club Riversdale Golf Club Alex Russell - top100golfcourses.com Metropolitan Golf Club Avondale Golf Club The National Golf Club - Moonah Course Tara Iti Tom Doak Society of Australian Golf Course Architects (SAGCA) Rosanna Golf Club Harley Kruse - SAGCA Profile Ross Perrett - SAGCA Profile Links Hope Island Neil Crafter Heritage Golf and Country Club The Sands Torquay Glenelg Golf Club SAGCA Golf Architecture Magazine Sanctuary Cove Golf and Country Club The Dunes Golf Links St Andrews Beach Brewery St Andrews Beach Golf Course Newgreens Chatswood Bougle Run Royal Melbourne Golf Club Alister MacKenzie Duntryleague Golf Club EP.198 The Design Brief - Harley Kruse EP.143 Keeper of the Greens - Keegan Powell EP.75 Keeper of the Greens - Tim Warren EP.69 Sustainable Golf - Monina Gilbey EP.78 Keeper of the Greens - John Mann EP.95 Keeper of the Greens - Richard Forsyth EP.145 Keeper of the Greens - Craig Geeve EP.150 Keeper of the Greens - Full Turf Nerd with Craig Geeve
