The Building Doors Podcast is where women in voice-over take center stage, sharing their journeys, breaking barriers, and paving the way for future talent. This podcast amplifies women’s voices in an industry where male-centric genres —like sports promos and other traditionally male-dominated spaces —have long been the norm. Through personal stories, expert insights, and industry discussions, we’re creating opportunities and inspiring action. Each episode features female voice actors —our Door Builders —as they share how they got into voice-over , the challenges they’ve faced, and the dream clients they aspire to work with. We also bring you audio versions of our Instagram and LinkedIn Live events , covering powerful topics like mental health, building community, gender equality in sports, and voice-over genres more women should be pursuing . And as we grow, we may also feature sponsor spotlights , giving brands that support Building Doors a platform to share their services and their commitment to empowering women in voice-over . This isn’t just a podcast—it’s a movement. Whether you’re a voice actor at any stage of your career, a brand championing gender equality, or someone who believes in making space for all voices , this is the place for you. The Building Doors Podcast is for anyone in voice-over and anyone looking for a community that supports inclusion, opportunity, and breaking barriers . Tune in, be inspired, and start building doors.

Chelsea Roemer: Making Her Way
Sep 9, 202629 min
Chelsea Roemer is changing the game, literally. As the creator and host of The Diamond Diaries, a podcast dedicated to women in baseball, Chelsea is telling the stories of the women building careers and making an impact in a sport that has historically been dominated by men. In this episode, we talk about what it takes to find your place in an industry that doesn't always make room for you, the barriers women still encounter in sports, and why sometimes you have to stop waiting for someone to open the door and start building your own. Chelsea shares her journey, what she's learned from the women she's interviewed, and why creating visibility for the next generation matters. Follow The Diamond Diaries: Instagram When was the last time you heard a woman voicing the promos for the Super Bowl, a PGA tournament, or the World Cup? Chances are, you haven’t—and that needs to change. The Building Doors campaign is pushing for equal opportunities in voice-over, especially in male-dominated spaces like sports. We spotlight female voice actors voicing ads originally voiced by men, challenging brands and agencies to embrace gender diversity. Where do women fans fit in the NFL? For a long time, the answer was nowhere. Victoria Henderson saw that gap and decided to fill it herself. In this episode, Victoria shares the story behind HerGameDays, the football social club she built for women who love the game and wanted a space that actually felt like theirs. We talk about the moment she realized how wide that gap really was, what it took to build a community from scratch, and how female football fandom became something bigger: a safe space, a sisterhood, a movement. Sound familiar? It should. What Victoria built with HerGameDays and what we're building with Building Doors come from the same place. Two industries, two different playing fields, one shared belief: when there's no door for women, you build one. This conversation is about more than football. It's about vision, persistence, and what happens when women stop waiting for a seat at the table and build their own table instead. Siân Fox & Alex Henderson: News from the other side of the pond.
Jul 29, 20261 hour
Alex and Siân, founders of Foxy Tongue Voices—a boutique voiceover agency out of Soho, London met with Christy to talk about how they are seeing the VO industry across the pond. Between them, they have over 20 years of casting and production experience, with clients including Rolex, Coca-Cola, Samsung, Mattel, and Kellogg's. We talked about AI fatigue, the rise of "quirky, imperfect" voices that sound undeniably human, the importance of ad-libs, and why being responsive matters more than ever. When the brief is wrong, it's not just about one audition—it's about the message it sends to every woman in the industry. Even the pros get got. This week on the Building Doors Podcast, VO veteran Natasha Marchewka joins me to talk about something nobody wants to admit happens to them: getting scammed. Natasha's been in this business a long time. She's smart. She's savvy. And a scammer still found a way in. She's telling the whole story, the red flags she looks back on now and wishes she'd caught, and exactly how she's changed her workflow so it doesn't happen again. If you book voice work online (so, all of us), you need to hear this one. Consider it a free audit of your own process. Every question we get asked before someone starts their trial.
If you have a concern about deliverability, AI quality, data privacy, or whether this will actually work for your specific situation, it's probably answered below.
What is the difference between Founder Solo and Founder Pro?
Founder Solo gives you 50 AI pitches per month using the credit model (Standard pitches cost 1 credit, Enriched pitches cost 2). Founder Pro raises that to 200 credits per month and adds full Booking Probability access, unlimited Magic Match, Apollo enrichment credits, and data export capabilities. Both plans use the same credit system, so you can stretch your monthly budget further by using Standard-mode drafting.
How do agency tiers work?
Agency tiers have no base fee. You pay per managed client and per talent profile. Agency Standard is $199 per client per month; Agency Pro is $399 per client per month. Both add $39 per talent profile per month. Your own team's user seats are always free.
What is a talent profile?
A talent profile represents one person (founder, executive, or spokesperson) you are booking onto podcasts. It includes their bio, topics, headshots, and outreach history. Team plans include 5 profiles; agency plans are pay-as-you-go.
Can I switch plans later?
Yes, at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades apply at the end of the current billing period. Contact support if you need help migrating between plan families.
Do you offer a free trial?
Every paid plan includes a 15-day free trial. Your card is saved at signup but you will not be charged until day 16. Cancel any time from your dashboard.
What happens if I cancel?
You keep access until the end of your current billing period. No charges after that. Your data is retained for 30 days in case you reactivate.
Is the 20% annual discount automatic?
Yes. Select Annual on the pricing toggle and the discounted price is applied automatically at checkout. The annual price shown is the full year cost.
What if I have more than 50 profiles or 20 clients?
That is our Enterprise tier. Contact our sales team and we will build a custom plan with volume pricing, a dedicated account manager, and SLA guarantees.
