In Episode #98 of The Bible Thumpers Podcast, Week 6 of Colossians , we wrap up our journey through this incredible book by looking at what it really means to live like Jesus is Lord of every part of our lives. We talk about honoring Christ in our marriages, families, jobs, relationships, conversations and prayer lives. We dig into what it means to work for the Lord instead of for the approval of people, to serve others as though we are serving Jesus Himself, to stay devoted to prayer and to make the most of every opportunity God gives us to share His love. And of course, April came prepared with plenty of parables tonight , giving us some great examples that helped bring these Scriptures into everyday life. As Paul closes his letter to the Colossians, he reminds us that following Jesus was never meant to be something we do alone. We need people who will pray with us, encourage us, serve beside us and help us keep our eyes on Christ. After six weeks in Colossians, we are left with one big challenge: If Jesus truly is Lord of our lives, does the way we live actually show it?
