Ep. 3: Collapse, Comeback, and Rio's Wildest Finish

  Oct 1, 20261h 27mS6

Two of our three teams had a week to forget. The Packers got run off their own field in primetime, blowing a lead and surrendering 27 unanswered to the Falcons. The Bengals let a win slip away in Pittsburgh on a muffed punt. The 49ers are the last unbeaten team left on our board at 3-0 — but it came at a cost, with Nick Bosa's injury situation taking a turn for the worse. Around the league: the NFL's first-ever game in Rio delivered an all-time finish, two 3-0 teams collide in the AFC West, and we're asking whether Aaron Rodgers is actually back. Then it's on to Week 4 — Packers try to get right against a winless Tampa Bay team, Bengals host Jacksonville after a defense that just gave up 411 yards, and the 49ers' unbeaten streak faces a real threat at home. Four dads. Zero credentials. Way too many opinions.

The Average Fans Take — Ep. 2: We Owe You One (Week 2 Catch-Up & Week 3 Preview)

  Sep 24, 20261h 14mS6

Two-parter this week because we owe you one. First, the quick hits from a Week 2 that never made it to your feed: Packers grind out an overtime win over the Jets, Bengals look every bit the class of the AFC North at 2-0 behind Ja'Marr Chase's best game of the year, and the Niners were borderline perfect in a 35-13 win. Then it's on to Week 3 — Falcons come to Lambeau on a short week, Bengals head into Pittsburgh as favorites for the first time this year, and the Cardinals roll into Levi's without Kyler Murray. Around the league: the NFL's first-ever game in Rio, the gut-punch injury to Jayden Daniels, and a round-table brawl over Cinderella teams, hot-seat coaches, and the takes we already need to eat. Four dads. Zero credentials. Way too many opinions.

The Average Fans Take — Episode 1: Week 1 Kickoff

  Sep 9, 20261h 31mS6

Four dads. Four teams. Zero credentials. Welcome back to The Average Fans Take , the podcast where a Packers stockholder, an emotionally-invested Bengals die-hard, a wildcard Niners fan, and a host just trying to keep the peace break down the NFL the way it's actually talked about — around a table, with a beer, and way too much confidence. In our Season 1 opener, we're diving into the league's first full week: Kyler Murray taking over in Minnesota, whether the Bengals' defensive makeover is the real deal, the 49ers rolling the dice with Bosa and Kittle in Australia, and Mahomes' big return on Monday night. Plus, our first-ever Average Take predictions and a round-table debate that gets out of hand fast. New episodes every week. Nobody here is a professional. That's the point.
