Agape: The Love That Remains
What does it really mean to love like Jesus? Agape is deeper than affection. It isn’t transactional, it doesn’t require unlimited access, and it doesn’t disappear simply because someone disappoints, hurts, betrays, or walks away from you. In this episode of She Quietly Rises , we go deeper into what Scripture means when it says, “God is love.” We look at Jesus weeping at Lazarus’s tomb even though He knew resurrection was coming, washing the feet of Judas knowing betrayal was coming, and hanging on the cross praying, “Father, forgive them,” while He was still being wounded. We also confront some uncomfortable questions: Can you love someone you don’t like? Can you set boundaries and still walk in agape? Do you genuinely want your enemies restored—or secretly want them to suffer? And what happens when someone leaves…but the love remains? Maybe healing doesn’t always mean becoming indifferent. Maybe surrender doesn’t require you to stop loving. Maybe sometimes God removes the grip without removing the love. Because agape can say: I love you, but I don’t own you. I love you, but I release the outcome. I love you, and I’m still going to live. And when someone who hurt you is thirsty? The question becomes: Will your wound answer—or will Jesus? ️ Agape: The Love That Remains She Quietly Rises Podcast
