<p>Gideon's story in Judges 8 is one of the most sobering examples in Scripture of what can happen when a person stops giving God the glory after a great victory. With only 300 men, Gideon defeated an army of 120,000. God intentionally reduced the numbers so that no one could take credit for what only He could accomplish. But after the battle, Gideon's heart began to shift.
