Where do you go when you can’t go home?
We connect remotely with Vlada Šahović in Serbia, a humanitarian and human rights expert at the International Rescue Committee, which supports programs for refugees across Central and Eastern Europe. Serbia is one of the transit countries for migrants. The conversation explores what this means for the country and its residents, how local communities respond to migration, and the challenges they face on the ground. Looking beyond Poland, the episode also considers what can be learned from the experiences of Serbia, Moldova, and other countries. An interview conducted by Lizaveta Raketskaya, covering the work of humanitarian organizations and how they assess whether the support they provide actually meets the needs of refugees.
