Stories from the Navajo Nation | Garland Yazzie
Host Cam Garven sits down on-location at the Navajo Nation in Arizona with 19-year-old Garland Yazzie. Born and raised on the reservation, Garland reflects on his journey about growing up attending Vacation Bible School at Hidden Springs Bible Church. He shares that as a kid, he originally only came for the games and prizes. As he grew older, hanging out with the wrong crowd and getting into trouble led to hard lessons. In this transparent conversation, Garland shares how those setbacks became a turning point. Driven by a desire to take care of his grandmother (whom he calls mom), break away from bad influences, and make better decisions, Garland shares how his perspective on faith, character, and his future is shifting toward a productive life rooted in God.
