Episode #214
Preventing Chronic Overwhelm and Burnout
This week, Thomas shares the warning signs of chronic overwhelm that can indicate that you’re headed towards burnout and critical steps you can take to reduce stress and restore balance. He explains that there’s a spectrum ranging from overwhelm to burnout, and why the signposts along the way (like being unable to relax) are so easy to miss, especially when you have a history of trauma. On this journey, he stresses how essential it is that we learn to embrace discomfort, and shares the key pillars for preventing burnout, which include things like relational regulation, strengthening your sense of your body, having a regular spiritual practice, and finding ways to nourish joy. ✨ Watch the video version of this episode on YouTube: https://youtu.be/68rEeGtzl74 Video episodes are typically posted at 8am PT/ 11am ET For more episodes of the Point of Relation podcast, visit: https://pointofrelationpodcast.com/ Thomas Hübl, PhD , is a renowned teacher, author, and international facilitator who works within the complexity of systems and cultural change, integrating the core insights of the great wisdom traditions and mysticism with the discoveries of science.
